You set your alarm for 6:00 am, 6:05 am, 6:10 am. 6:30 am comes and you are still in bed. “Screw it, I’ll try working out tomorrow.” You can’t tell me this has never been you, because then you are just a freak of nature… or a liar. You know that exercise increases your energy and helps you manage your stress…right?!? Sounds preachy so instead I’ll get a bit more personal.

My youngest daughter is a college student and she struggles with ADD and as a result, anxiety. Her doctor told her meditation could be helpful. Yeah, try forcing your ADD daughter to sit still and meditate. It was hell for her, and worse for me. She found an outlet for her stress through working out. It has been the start to her day almost every morning for the last couple years.

I’m not suggesting you drop $36 every day to have a SoulCycle instructor yell in your face…unless of course that works for you. I’m pointing out how physical activity can set the stage for your day and help you be the best version of yourself. Now get your a$$ out of that bed and get going!!
